Hi Folks,

It's weekend! What R ur plan for this weekend!?

For this blogpost I would like to show u an all black and white outfit. I went for a HealthGoth look. This is an subculture/style that I discovered and I really like! HealthGoth is a mixture of sporty clothes with Goth influences. Much black and white in a Urban kinda way. Extreme cleanliness, Chockers, monochrome sportwear, sneakers, caps and some vibe from the fetisch culture. This is my vision of this cool hype. 

The fun part is there's a big perspective for gettin ur own HealthGoth look. This is my look. All in white and wearing 90's cyber buffalo boots, to give it a more futuristic view. That wearing with an old skool bandshirt of Marilyn Mansons I found at a vintage store. This cool leather chocker is from a sex shop, just to get something from the fetish side of healthgoth.

Cherrybomb

Hi People!

It's been a while when did my last blogpost, but today I'll show u a new great outfit a la The Mermale with a new look going on. I'm still in the 90's kinda vibe but always with different items from men and unisex/woman clothing/accessoires. 
For this outfit I was inspired by the baddest rock and roll queen Joan Jett from Joan Jett and the blackhearts. She was in my vision one of the first artist that was really androgyness and such a badass with her electric gitar. For me a fashion inspo with her black leather jackets, DIY tees, glitters, biker boots, black hair and playing one hell of a rough gitargame. Before she became famous as Joan Jett from ''Joan Jett and the Black hearts'', she was a vocal and guittarist in the girl rockband called The Runaways, with her vocal galpal Cheri Currie aka ''Cherrybomb''. 
There was a movie released in 2010  called The Runaways which is a MUST SEE! With a great styling of fashion in the 70's rock and roll, great cast (and performances by Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart), great movieshots and awesome music. Check it out and you'll understand ;).

This cherry red leather jacket I got from Zara, the black stretch pants is from J.C.RAGS, these necklaces are from the online shop SHOPJEEN(check them out on Intsagram:@shopjeen), and these gemstone braceletts are from Hype Heroes, check them also out on Instagram: @hypeheroes !! And these shoes I'm wearing are new that I bought online at https://www.corbetosboots.com/ and they are based in Barcelona. The Shoes are the black texas oil negro leather boots with a 4" heel and 3 1/2" platforms from Buffalo.

HOLOGRAM+PUNK= #HOLOPUNK

Goodday Folks!

For this blogpost I wanted to share with you a super cool top I found at Monki. Yes the woman clothing label!;) It's a hologram see through T-shirt. It's 100% polyester with glitters in the fabric. Not quite a daily wear but great for the partyscene. I'm always trying to translate edgy clothes/items/trends to the streets en trying to combine things to make it more wearable for the daily base. This style is something I see more often on other social media platforms and its called HOLOPUNK. It's all about the colors, brightness, chokers, leather with punk influences from the late 80's and the 90's. #clubkid #90s #punk #holopunk

The hologram shirt is from Monki like a said above, the white cotton pants is from H&M, the shoes are from YRU and the cap is from H&M also.  the choker is from the webshop Shopjeen. They have the most rad stuff check there instagram(:@shopjeen) page and webshop(:http://www.shopjeen.com/).

Bleach Peach Backstreetboy

Hello Folks,

For today's blogpost I did a new hairdo again. Its a Bleach Peach Backstreetboys hairdo. I wanted to show you a new outfit all clean, clear white with silver details and leather. It's still into like some earlier post, a sort of anime meets 90's clubkids look and translated to the streets. This was in Amsterdam shot by the blogger from Feather and Crosses, Valerie.

I really like the peach look in my hair, lately I'm trying out different hairstyles looking for cool hairdo's for the blog. Peach is a great springcolor mostly seen in T-shirts but I think it kan also be cool to try some of that into the hair when u go for a basic colored spring outfit. I used Peach Hairwax that gets great when ur having blonde hair and it is easy to wash it out. I got a super great other color of that wax that I'll show u the next blogpost.

The white sport jersey is from the vintage store Episode, the white leather vest is from Zara, wearing a white cotton pants. I bought this one at H&M with the studded belt. The silver necklace is from Weekday and the shoes are the sporty Nike air force black leather.

New Jur©☺

Hello Guys,

Today will be the last Nieuw Jurk blogpost with a great outfit from their latest collection called New Jur©. It's a great 90's inspired colorfull look. I selected some of the pieces to create a cool head to toe look with lots of colors and edge. Interview Esther Meijer (part 4)

What was your inspiration for your new collection?

The phenomenon of copying in the fashion industry, and basically in every branch of the creative industry. Not only am I copied several times, night markets in Asia are overloaded with fake designs. KTZ, HBA and Boy London, where I position myself in between are examples of brands which are being copied.

How did you get the prints of this collection?

Do you still remember fun copying? It was big in the 90-ies and is still at many offices nowadays, I guess. I had to copy the theme literally and have a night out with my head on my scanner. Here I made a alloverprint. It's a nod to the portrait rights that everyone has, especially because I'm going to let these designs soon 'snitch' by replica factories in China.

T-shirt prints are always designed by Tom Tosseyn, a print designer from Antwerp. We share the same love for Smileys and hardcore. 'Smileys will never die' so to speak.

What do you think is important to stay over and over inspired in creating new collections?

Just walk out the door and get excited about things. By that I mean the feeling that the meaning to add a contribution to this world. A feeling which I experience in all areas of my life. I like to be the drop in the ocean.

I had a geat time in shooting the pictures of the collection, which came out with the lookbook on line in that same week. It's a great comfortable and edgy collection inspired by the 90's with croptops, caps, buckethats, leggings, colors, prints and oversized tops. The vest and shorts I'm wearing are both from a fleece fabric, 100% comfort. This gave me a 90's clubkid/90's HIP HOP vibes. The platforms are the Qozmo YRU shoes.

Nieuw Jurk $€XXX collection Part 2

Goodmorning People!

For this blogpost I'll show you a great look selected from the cool brand Nieuw Jurk. I loved the collection called $€XXX and was sponsored by Porn Actress Bobbi Eden. She sponsored and invested in this collection and was eventually showed on the Amsterdam International Fashion Week.

How did you come across Bobbi Eden ? And the contribution she has made ​​to the collection?

Since the theme briefly porn and I was looking for a sponsor I approached her to link her name to my show at fashion week. I had read an interview with her ​​in the Volkskrant and she impressed me as a businesswoman. She was almost immediately enthusiastic. In addition to its financial contribution , she and her husband made ​​a nice movie because she could not be at the show. With clothes on of course : Nieuw Jurk.  This theme for this collection was partly reflected in the materials such as latex , print consisting of neon letters as you see much in the red light district and the models: porn models 

Your collections are also increasingly behave abroad / sold ? Internationally, in which countries are you running now ?

Currently in Taiwan , the USA and Europe , but the intention is to expand this year, even with my new collection. Asia here is a particularly important market. 

Some people still have their doubts whether it really is wearable for everyone.. ART or wearable ?

The show pieces anyway no one on ! And I would say for the rest get your Nieuw Jurk is because once carried. You only live once , right? 

I loved this Neon green Latex T-shirt immediately when I saw this top for the first time. I think this is my favorite piece of the collection. Its a material that is not seen often at the dailybase at a mens wardrobe but this T-shirt is easy going and wearable for any man. This material is comfortable to wear but very HOT (literally &figuratively) Combined this with white shorts from the new Nieuw Jurk collection called New Jur© and also the legging underneath the shorts. I'll show you next time the last Nieuw Jurk post a new outfit from a new collection.Stay tuned for that!

The shoes are the Qozmo platfroms sneaker from YRU. Love that brand! they got the most wicked shoes!

Nieuw Jurk $€XXX Collection PART 1

Hello people!

For today's blogpost I'll show you a new Nieuw Jurk look, from the $€XXX collection. You can guess what the inspiration was for this collection.. in the short interview below you can read what the designer had to tell about this collection.

Interview Esther Meijer(part 2)

What was your inspiration for this collection ?

The theme of the collection was the pornoficering of society, the influence of pornography on our society, especially the self-image of young people with regard to sexuality. This theme was partly reflected in the materials such as latex , print consisting of neon letters as you see much in the red light district and the models: porn models.

Where can you get inspiration from everyday life ?

I am inspired by people and developments in our society. That is an inexhaustible source of wonder and I hit positive and negative passionate . That leads me to beautiful things

There was a incident that other labels gecopycat some items/prints from this collection, what can you do about that as a young designer ?

My Smiley Knee Tights copied by H&M and a tip by a Korea, replica factory. I have considered whether I could fight this but it is very difficult for financial reasons for a small creative label. Therefore, I converted this energy into setting up my new project, which addresses this question of copying in the fashion industry.

I styled this outfit to show you viewers/readers a great head to toe outfit from this $€XXX collection. Worn these cool platforms sneakers from YRU to get a bit of the nineties NYC clubkid kinda style. With these neoncolors, croptop, bomber & legging.
