Hi People!

It's been a while when did my last blogpost, but today I'll show u a new great outfit a la The Mermale with a new look going on. I'm still in the 90's kinda vibe but always with different items from men and unisex/woman clothing/accessoires. 
For this outfit I was inspired by the baddest rock and roll queen Joan Jett from Joan Jett and the blackhearts. She was in my vision one of the first artist that was really androgyness and such a badass with her electric gitar. For me a fashion inspo with her black leather jackets, DIY tees, glitters, biker boots, black hair and playing one hell of a rough gitargame. Before she became famous as Joan Jett from ''Joan Jett and the Black hearts'', she was a vocal and guittarist in the girl rockband called The Runaways, with her vocal galpal Cheri Currie aka ''Cherrybomb''. 
There was a movie released in 2010  called The Runaways which is a MUST SEE! With a great styling of fashion in the 70's rock and roll, great cast (and performances by Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart), great movieshots and awesome music. Check it out and you'll understand ;).

This cherry red leather jacket I got from Zara, the black stretch pants is from J.C.RAGS, these necklaces are from the online shop SHOPJEEN(check them out on Intsagram:@shopjeen), and these gemstone braceletts are from Hype Heroes, check them also out on Instagram: @hypeheroes !! And these shoes I'm wearing are new that I bought online at https://www.corbetosboots.com/ and they are based in Barcelona. The Shoes are the black texas oil negro leather boots with a 4" heel and 3 1/2" platforms from Buffalo.

90's Rave inspired

Goodmorning Folks,

For this blogpost I would like to tell a cool story about the bomberjacket I'm wearing for this outfit. I always thought that the original bomber jacket is something from the late 80's/90's but it goes waaaaaaaaayyyy back. 

It was mostly seen at some thereotype subcultures as punk, 90's rave, skinheads and 'gabbers', but I never knew that it started as a military Flight jacket, worn at World War I & II. It was created for pilots. the trend started at 1915 in the US army to keep the pilots warm during flying.   

It was set up a manufacturing trend in the United Kingdom in 1926, and became the main outwear of flight jackets for the Royal Air Force during most of world war II. 

However, the demand during the early years of the war was so great that the Irvin company engaged subcontractors, which explains the slight variations of design and colour that can be seen in early production of the Irvin flying jackets.

I styled this look using this jacket more like people did in the 90's rave subcultures, because that fits my personal style more. The 90's rave trend is huge right now...cropped tops mixed with neon and geek chic. 

It was upcoming that time to experiment with diffrent hairstyles, not only for girls but also for boys like braids, dots, colored and shaved hairstyles or a combination of them. With this look I would like to bring the hairstyle back to the street, that can be worn for a casual look. Thanks Luciënne for the hair!

The Bomber jacket is from Episode, the blue jeans is from Levi, the netshirt is from Antony Morato and the black pattent shoes are the 2.0 wings Adidas designed by Jeremy Scott .

My Amsterdam Streetstyle

G'day people!

For this blogpost I would like to show you a new look. It's my Amsterdam sporty streetstyle. It's a basic sporty look bringing some color with this blue/green acid washed jeans. 

It is possible you recognize the black bodywarmer from some previous outfit I posted a while ago. 

Check the Alexander WangXH&M blogpost for the total Alexander Wang outfit. That post is a whole black outfit and I always like to show some color in a outfit. So this is more styled like in do everyday. 

The bodywarmer is like I said, from the Alexander Wang X H&M collection. I'm wearing a white net material sweater, to ligh the outfit a bit up! This sweater is from Zara. The green acid washed jeans is from H&M for the color in the outfit, wearing the black original Adidas Superstar.

Gabbers VS Clubkids

Hi Guys,

For this blogpost I was inspired by the cool subculture from the Gabbers with my vintage cobalt blue oversized bomberjacket. Gabbers arised in the 90’s. The origin of the gabbers is the Rotterdammers rebelling against Amsterdam.
At first it was a real regional style, but after 1994 it became more popular. The term ‘gabber’ means buddy or friend in Yiddish. I'm not a Gabber but it's so funny to know, cause i'm originally from Rotterdam;)

The clubkids signature is the typical Platform shoes i'm wearing for this blogpost. I have also worn these in some previous posts, in combination with the net material of my sweather.
This subculture were young creative folks late 80's, begin 90's and were mostly outsiders from the society. Gay, lesbian, biseksuals, Transgenders (LGBT) or just creative people that loved to express themselves with their elaborate and outrageous costumes. This in combination with a lot of party, sex and drug use.

Two total different styles/subcultures that I liked to combine for this look. Made it my own because of the color of the bomberjacket and the sporty Adidas bag.

This bomberjacket is vintage and bought this one at Episode in Utrecht. The black pants I'm wearing is a slim fit J.C.RAGS  wich I also bought in Utrecht. The net sweather is from Zara and the cobalt blue bag is from Adidas. The silver fishhook bracelet is from Weekday.The Silver necklace is from SIX. The platform sneakers are from YRU.

90s Kids part 1⚡️

Hi babes!

My new blogpost is inspired by the 90s, denim, dungarees, denim dungarees, retro shades, platform sneakers, croptops, white sporty sweaters and t-shirts, oversized/undersized tops, net sweathers and shirts. The baby spice platform sneakers makes me go back in time! The time it was only cool for girls, to wear spice girls shoes. But it was also popular and seen often in New York 90s nightlife clubscene. 

The Glasses is from a random store in Milano, the white jersey top is from the Episode, the denim dungarees is from Zara, de socks from H&M, bracelet is vintage and the sneakers R from YRU
